Building a synthetic quilt is an easy process. Using around $75 of materials and 3-5 hours of work you can assemble a quilt to rival any you might find for purchase. It’s a great introduction to the MYOG / DIY world and a perfect way to dip your toe into quilts too.
Sketchup File
I’ve layed out the dimensions and details of the quilt using Sketchup. This should help you plan along the way, layout the pieces of the quilt in the proper places, and get the measurements you need to size the quilt. Additionally, you can use this file to modify the quilt to your specific needs. People taller than 5’10” should add extra length to the quilt and wider body types may want to add a little width to the quilt.

Materials:
This build doesn’t take much, here’s what you’ll need. I’ve included links to where you can buy the materials beside each item. If you purchase the materials through these links I’ll get a little kickback with which I can keep this website ad-free and continue to make content. Thanks!
