AT Thruhike 2019 – Mile 1460.5 to 1508.3; 8/12/19 to 8/22/19; NJ/NY Border – CT/MA Border.
Follow along with us as we head north on the eighth stretch of our flip flop thruhike of the AT. Connecticut is a state of transition along the AT. Though still relatively low in elevation, the climbs in Connecticut gradually increase in size and difficulty as you traverse north. The southern sections of the trail often parallel the beautiful Housatonic River while the northern sections hint at the alpine forests to come in the north.
